Global Fastener & Supply was founded in 1985 on a simple idea: build partnerships with customers, not the adversarial vendor relationships common in the industry at the time. As a family-run business ourselves, that's the culture we wanted to keep. For over 40 years, we've supplied manufacturers, OEMs, and agricultural equipment builders across Wisconsin and the Midwest — with nationwide shipping — with the fasteners, hardware, and supply chain solutions they need to keep production running.

- 1985
- Global Fastener & Supply is founded with a mission to build true partnerships with customers rather than the adversarial vendor relationships common at the time.
- 1990
- We outgrow our original space and move our corporate headquarters into a new building in New Berlin, WI.
- 1991
- Growing demand for custom kitting from customers in the Salt Lake City, UT area leads us to open a dedicated packaging facility in Clearfield, UT. Global becomes known industry-wide as a premier supplier of custom packaging and kitting — we still package kits for some of our competitors today.
- Early 1990s
- We begin offering Kanban and vendor-managed inventory (VMI) solutions, opening a second New Berlin warehouse to support the new service.
- 1995
- Our two New Berlin warehouses are consolidated into a custom-built 40,000 sq. ft. headquarters as growth continues.
- Late 1990s – Early 2000s
- We invest heavily in technology and automated packaging machinery, significantly increasing efficiency and workflow.
- 2001
- We begin the formal process of pursuing ISO 9001 certification, taking our quality system to the next level.
- 2004
- Global Fastener & Supply earns ISO 9001 certification, formalizing the quality and business standards we hold ourselves to — and the certification we've maintained ever since.
- 2004 – Present
- We sharpen our focus on custom inventory solutions, using historical data and forecasting to set optimal inventory levels for customers — saving them time and money while increasing inventory turns.
- 2012
- We upgrade our ERP system to The Business Edge by Computer Insights, a major technology step that's integral to our day-to-day operations.
- 2015
- We move to our current location in Muskego, WI — just two miles from our previous New Berlin headquarters — building "up instead of out" and increasing overall capacity by more than 35% in a smaller footprint.
- 2025
- We're recertified to ISO 9001:2015, with our current certificate valid through July 2028 — over two decades of continuous certification and counting.
